With reference to your despatch No.317 of

13th August, 1935, regarding Loan Works, I have the honour to request your authority for the introduction into Legislative Council in accordance with Section 3 (2) of

the Hong Kong Dollar Loan Ordinance No.11 of 1934 of a

Resolution amending the Schedule to the Ordinance as

follows:-

Item No.2 Shing Mun Valley Water Schemes from $10,043,531 to $10,443,530.

Item No.4 New Gaol at Stanley from $4,631,000 to $4,500,000.

Item No.5 Tytan Tuk Catchwaters from $800,000 to $720,000.

Item No.6 Airport Development from $895,000 to $975,486.

Item No.8 Other Public Works from $279,823 to

$10,338.

As stated in paragraphs 13 to 15 of my

despatch No.550 of 4th October, 1935, Item No.2 includes

two new works, viz. Second 24′′ Trunk Main $350,000, and Third Rapid Gravity Filters $300,000, both of which are

normal developments of the Shing un Valley Water Schemes.

The increase in the allocation for Airport Development is

accounted
